HAS50-S
LEM HAS50-S open-loop Hall current transducer, 50 A nominal with ±150 A range, ±15 V supply and panel or PCB mounting.
The HAS50-S is a LEM open-loop Hall current transducer with a 50 A nominal primary current and a wide measuring range of about ±150 A, built for industrial current measurement on a compact panel-mount or PCB footprint. An open-loop sensor measures the magnetic field produced by the primary current directly, so it is smaller, lower cost and needs less power than a closed-loop device, which makes it well suited to AC variable-speed drives, static converters for DC motor drives, battery-supplied equipment, UPS and switch-mode power supplies. The HAS family uses a single polycarbonate PBT housing recognized to UL 94-V0 and covers a range of ratings with one mechanical design, which simplifies mounting and inventory across power levels. It provides galvanic isolation between the primary and secondary circuits and delivers an instantaneous voltage output that interfaces directly with a controller ADC. The ±15 V bipolar supply and ±4 V output span suit conventional industrial control electronics, and the open-loop principle keeps the part economical where the accuracy of a closed-loop sensor is not required. Typical applications include motor-drive phase current, DC-link and load current in power supplies, and battery current in industrial equipment. Every HAS50-S BeiLuo ships is a genuine LEM part, factory-traceable and supplied with an import declaration, a certificate of origin and a RoHS compliance file, plus our FAE support for range selection and mounting. Its wide range and rugged industrial housing make it a practical, dependable choice.
FAE Professional Review
The HAS50-S is the sensor we recommend when an industrial design needs a rugged, wide-range current transducer with a simple voltage output and cost matters. The ±150 A range gives generous overload headroom for a 50 A nominal part. It is easy to mount and forgiving, but remember that open-loop accuracy drifts more with temperature than a closed-loop part.

Frequently Asked Questions
When is an open-loop sensor the right choice?
Choose open-loop when cost, size and low power matter more than the last point of accuracy, as in general industrial drives, power supplies and battery equipment. The HAS50-S gives a wide ±150 A range for a 50 A nominal part.
For precision measurement, step up to a closed-loop model.
How do I connect the voltage output?
The HAS50-S provides an instantaneous voltage output referenced to the supply, so it connects directly to a controller ADC without a measuring resistor. Keep the output wiring away from switching nodes to protect signal integrity.
Our application notes cover the recommended layout.
Is the part genuine and documented?
BeiLuo supplies factory-traceable HAS50-S parts with an import declaration, certificate of origin and RoHS file on every order. Stock is normally available.
