DVL500

The DVL500 is a LEM panel-mount voltage transducer that measures DC, AC and pulsed voltage up to 500 V nominal with a measuring range of about ±750 V, using LEM's insulation digital technology. It is part of the DVL family, which covers small and medium voltage measurements from 50 to 2000 VRMS with a single compact design that is lighter and uses less power than earlier generations while delivering excellent overall accuracy. The device provides galvanic isolation between the high-voltage primary and the low-voltage secondary, so it protects the control electronics and improves safety in traction, industrial and renewable-energy equipment. Input connections use M5 threaded studs and the output is a 50 mA current that is converted to a voltage by a measuring resistor, which keeps the signal robust in noisy cabinets and over long cable runs. The panel-mount housing suits industrial inverters, traction converters, solar and storage power converters, and DC-link monitoring where a rugged, isolated voltage transducer is required. The wide -40 °C to +85 °C operating range covers demanding environments, and the ±15 to ±24 V bipolar supply suits conventional control electronics. It is compatible in performance and footprint with the previous LV100 generation, which simplifies upgrades.
